Day1-Into the wild
We left the high school at 10pm. The night on the bus was difficult for many of us but we finally arrived in Rotterdam in the Netherlands at 10:30am.
Then we went to see the Kijk-Kubus (Cubic Houses) that were very special but really in keeping with today's aesthetics.
After some free time, we left by bus at 1:40 pm to go to the port of Amsterdam. On the bus, we discovered that a student didn't have his ID card (good start!). We arrived at the port and, when we had to go through customs, this student learnt that he wasn't allowed in. So he had to stay in Amsterdam with a teacher (that must not have been very happy).
All the others boarded on the ferry. At the time of the allocation of the cabins we realized that everyone had a nominative badge but with totally random cabins. You won't believe the mess it was to find someone to open your cabin while you had to set your phone to flight mode on a big ferry. We finally spent a night accompanied by the rolling of the waves and the motor vibrations.
The next morning we admired the sunrise before the disembarking at 10:30am (French time, for us it was 9:30am) at Newcastle.
Next we went by bus to the Hadrian's wall museum that we visited before eating and walked along the wall.
We finally took the bus to go to Edinburgh and met with the families we were going to spend the week with.
