A dragon is the symbol of Wales, more specifically a red dragon that gave its name to the flag : Y Ddraig Goch (a Welsh name).
This symbol was brought to Wales by the Roman invadors in the IIIrd and IVth centuries.
To immerse ourselves in the culture of this nation we bought dragon plushies. The little one is named Rori, a Welsh name given to him by the retailer.

On the third day we took the coach all the way to Cardiff, Wales. Despite the pouring rain, we visited the famous Castle of Cardiff. Cardiff castle is an old medieval castle in the center of the city surrounded by a wide 56-hectare park. We were parted in two groups to visit the castle and the Victorian apartments. Then we went to the Bute park to eat our lunch with the squirrels that were preparing for the winter.  After that we had our biggest free time so far in the center of Cardiff to do shopping and to walk in the streets of the biggest Welsh-speaking city. At the end of the day we went to Cardiff bay and got to enjoy the marine air of the Mouth of the river Severn. We got home early to pack our luggage and to sleep in preparation for our last day in London.

Cardiff is home to stunning orange and super big double decker buses that are pretty old unlike England's and seem to be currently replaced by Chinese electric buses that aren’t double-decked anymore. That's probably due to the cost, so it was a great opportunity to see the old ones.

On the third day of the trip, we went to Cardiff. In the morning, we visited Castell Caerdydd. We went inside the keep and the fortifications. We also went to the top of the tower, where we had a beautiful view of Cardiff, unfortunately the weather wasn’t as beautiful.

We then visited a part of the castle, where we saw medieval and royal decor, tapestries, paintings, and some furniture.

We also saw a museum about the history of the castle. In the afternoon, we went shopping in the city center, many people bought plushes. Lastly we went to Cardiff Bay, and hung out with each other.
